These days, one of the most entertaining and easiest ways to stay connected and in tune with what’s going on in the world of marine biology and science is an informative, well delivered Podcast.

There are looooooads of them, and you can spend hours just sifting through the lists and lists before deciding what might be good for you. You can find Podcasts which cover anything and everything, so its just a case of finding a topic of your interest and tuning in.

Unfortunately, not all of them are that entertaining and often the presenters are irritating, over excited wannabe Radio DJs.

The list I have compiled here are some of my favourites at the moment. They are obviously marine science based but have very broad topics from episode to episode. So, it’s a fantastic way to get a great overview and broaden your knowledge, and staying tuned to what’s going on out there.

In no particular order:

  1. Speak up for the ocean blue
  2. The ZSL Wild Science
  3. Marine Conservation Happy Hour
  4. NOAA Ocean Podcast
  5. 60 Second Science
