Fieldwork is at the heart of marine biology, and at Cape RADD, we excel in providing seamless field logistics. From our 8m diving semi-rigid hull inflatable boat to the 52-foot long steel hull yacht, we have the necessary infrastructure to support a wide range of marine research activities.

Tailored Training Programs

We offer customized training programs that cater to the specific needs of university groups. Whether it’s SCUBA certification, data collection techniques, or specialized workshops, our courses are designed to enhance both academic knowledge and practical skills. We can include requested modules and assessment which the visiting faculty require, adjust the program material, length of time of the program, and budget to suit. If SCUBA diving is not necessary then we can adjust to freediving, snorkel and surface/shore based training activities.

Cape RADD can accommodate groups of various sizes, with well-established contacts for various types of accommodation in Simon’s Town and the surrounding area. Comfort and convenience are guaranteed, allowing students and researchers to focus on their studies and exploration.
